Here, we take a look at the odds you face in Baccarat. We’ve said it before - the Castle Casino live Baccarat odds guide is the only resource needed for online gamblers.
Punto banco offers one of the lowest house edge’s there is to be had in a casino. Yes, the Banker bet always pays a commission on winning bets, but the house advantage is a mere 1.06%, whilst the Player bet has a house advantage of 1.24%. The Tie bet has a house advantage of 14.44% (based on six decks in play). The commission on the Banker bet should be taken as an indication of it’s higher probability as an outcome (and therefore a safer bet).
The Tie bet holds an irresistible allure for the inexperienced (or just plain reckless) player. The payout odds are 8:1 (as opposed to 2:1) so it’s understandable why a certain kind of player – be they wealthy or stupid, or both – is attracted to the Tie bet.
As alluded to above, the number of decks in play makes a significant difference to the odds. Overlook the number of decks at your peril!
In mini-Baccarat, betting minimums and maximums are usually much lower.
